A cloud striped sky
shrouds the sea
but not enough to
shield your rays
from my eager eyes.
Traffic subsides,
carving edges out of
the beautiful, the lonely
pacific coast high.
Gilded waves roll
over sand-smoothed shores,
eroded.
Waves moonwalk
to meet their set sisters.
Viscous, the marine layer
flies in formation
suddenly dissipating
to reveal
our star —
a circle closes
and sets.
Keep in touch.
